Semi-auto high responsive build of a MP5A3
Gearbox
• Fully diassemble & clean
• Modify gearbox to prevent cracking & for mosfet install
• Install upgraded bushings & re-shim original 13:1 gearset to new bushings, grease when complete
• Install Perun mosfet
• Modify original piston to prevent early tooth engagement, lubricate all o-rings & cylinder
• Only replaced air nozzle for o-ring CNC version, all other compression parts are good quality for this build
• Shorten trigger pull length
• Setup brushless motor, loctite pinion gear onto shaft
• Re-assemble gearbox & fit into receiver
• Setup mosfet to suit build
• Test fire - FPS to high, spring change makes FPS slightly to low, cut x3 coils from Sp130 spring and machine spring surface down to fit spring guide correctly
• Test fire - FPS now 380-385 or 1.35J-1.38J
Hop Up
• Disassemble hop up
• Install new barrel, bucking & nub combo
• Refit to gun, test fire & found low FPS
• Upon inspection noted barrel does not quite seat in hop chamber perfectly
• Switched back to original hop up with upgraded bucking & nub.
• Polished inside of original barrel
• Assemble & test fire - OK
• Range Test - OK, 50M+ from a 220mm barrel
