Description
Helical gears are quieter than straight-cut gears. Since most of the noise in a gear set comes from the bevel and pinion, users can install this and reduce most noise without converting their entire gearset to helical. The 10-tooth straight-cut design provides compatibility with most gearsets.*
*Feedback has found that this gear meshes best with most 16:1 and 12:1 step gears. 13:1 and 18:1 gears from other brands may not be compatible
The angled teeth engage more gradually, causing them to run more smoothly and quietly. Because of this, these gears may provide a more desirable gear meshing noise when properly shimmed.
Additionally, due to their design, these gears may yield an increase in load capacity. Axial load on bearings is increased.
Compatible with common D-type motor shafts for easy installation. Uses the same pinion gear included with Solink Helical Gearsets.
We recommend scoring the inside of the pinion and motor shaft and applying JB weld for permanent adhesion.
